How To Send Digital Cases

(Please click on the scanner system to be directed to directions for sending us your digital files)

Instructions For Sending Digital Files:​​​​​​

  • Cameo Scanner

    • Log into your Cameo Account

    • ​Click on the "User" icon in the top right next to your user name

    • Select the "Connections" tab

    • Click the "New" button at the bottom and a search bar will appear in the "Target" section

    • Type "First Impressions Dental Laboratory" and click the corresponding name that pops up

    • Finally, click on the check mark icon to the right to submit the connection request. We will receive the connection request and promptly accept

    • During the end of each scan, you will now be able to "send" your completed scan to "First Impressions Dental Laboratory" by selecting our lab during the last steps of your scan

  • Carestream CS Scanner (Through CSConnect)

    • Log into your CSConnect account.

    • Select First Impressions Dental Lab in the drop-down menu. If it's the first time sending to us, enter "fidentallab@gmail.com" in the email field. We will receive an email to connect with you.

    • Attach files by clicking "Browse" and choosing the correct .dcm file from the patient's folder and click "Open".

    • Please note any important information about the case in the comment box.

    • Press "Submit"

    • Your case is ready to proceed to production

  • Dentsply Sirona - Cerec® / Primescan® 

    • Create an account through "www.sirona-connect.com" if your office does not have an account already. Call Sirona Customer Service at 1-844-848-0137 for assistance if needed.

    • Make sure to select First Impressions Dental Lab as favorite lab.

    • Once you have finished scanning the patient, review order and restoration information then click on "Enter Order Data"

    • Once upload is complete, select First Impressions Dental Lab and provide a preferred return date.

    • To add any further information about the case and/or patient, choose "Add Additional Information" and upload the information along with any additional files.

    • Review case information and scan data then click "Submit Cart"

    • Enter your username and password again to complete the case submission.

    • Your case is ready for us to work on.

  • iTero®

  • Medit®

    • Complete the intraoral scan for the patient.

    • Take the STL file output by scanner and attach it to an email addressed to fidentallab@gmail.com

    • Include any important information including procedure, materials being used, shade, etc

    • Send the email.

    • Once we receive your email the case is ready to be worked on.

  • Midmark True Definition Scanner (Formerly by 3M™) 

    • Contact MidMark Digital Customer Service at 1-844-856-1231 to add First Impressions Dental Lab to your Scanner Laboratory Menu if not already listed.

    • Once added, select our lab from the list and upload your scan data, along with the online prescription, to the 3M™ Communication Center.

    • We will receive an email notifying us that your case is ready to be worked on.

  • Planmeca - PlanScan®

    • In your CAD/CAM module, select the desired case file(s) and choose "DDX Export".

    • Select "STL" as the export type.

    • Click "Create a New Case". If you are not logged into DDX already, you will be prompted to login to DDX.

    • Select "First Impressions Dental Lab" from list of available labs.

    • Fill out the form with requested procedure, materials being used, shades, etc.

    • Review information is correct and "Submit Case"

    • The case is ready for production

  • Trios® (3Shape)

    • Register with 3Shape Communicate.

    • Send a Connection Request from 3Shape Communicate to First Impressions Dental Lab (fidentallab@gmail.com).

    • Once the lab accepts the request, the connection is complete.

    • For every case, you have to select First Impressions Dental Lab from the lab menu.

  • DS Core

    • Log into DS Core.

    • On the main dashboard, navigate to the user profile menu at the top right of your screen.

    • The profile will have your initials in a circle next to the notification bell.

    • Click on Practice.

    • You should now see your practice information and a menu header. Click on the Preferred Labs tab.

    • On the right, click Add Preferred Lab tab. You will now see a list of labs on DS Core.

    • Search for "First Impressions Dental Lab - 30 Falls Ave, Granite Falls, NC 28630" in the search bar. Once you have found the lab, click on the Add button on the right.

    • A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to add the lab, select Add lab to confirm and close the window.

    • Click on the top left arrow on your screen to view your preferred labs. You should now see the lab added to the list with a status of Active.
